€225m cocaine seizure: Dutch partners say Boelle Jos is hiding in Sierra Leone – NACOC

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has received reports from Dutch partners stating that Dutch drug suspect Boelle Jos, implicated in a €225 million cocaine seizure in France, may be hiding in Sierra Leone. Acting Director of Public Affairs and International Relations at NACOC, PNCO Francis Opoku Amoah, confirmed the information during an interview on TV3's The KeyPoints program.

Dutch authorities believe that Boelle Jos, also known as Bolle Jos, is hiding in Sierra Leone, which could complicate efforts to apprehend him due to high-level protection reported to be in place. The NACOC is collaborating closely with their Dutch counterparts to explore ways to locate the suspect. Intelligence suggests that Boelle Jos has not yet entered Ghana, but his associates were operating from the country.

The NACOC announced the arrest of three individuals in Ghana on September 14, accused of representing and facilitating Leijdekkers' network. Dutch authorities have also arrested a man from Dordrecht in connection with the consignment and detained him. Investigations are ongoing, with more accomplices expected to face the law.
