VIDEO: Thugs reportedly attack Obi, Kwankwaso supporters in Warri

A campaign rally in Warri, Delta State, was reportedly disrupted by suspected thugs targeting supporters of presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, according to a photographer named Esther Umoh. Umoh alleged that the attackers specifically targeted members of both campaigns, including the Delta State governorship candidate.

A video accompanying the claims depicted a chaotic scene, with a voice heard urging people to confront the attackers, stating, "Look at the thugs, they came to attack us. We must face them. We are fully ready for them." This incident follows a period of heightened political mobilization leading up to the 2027 elections, as Obi and Kwankwaso campaign under the Nigeria Democratic Congress ticket, with a newly formed 59-member presidential campaign council.
