US President Donald Trump banning CNN, MSNOW and Politico from White House

US President Donald Trump has announced the immediate ban of three major media outlets from the White House, according to a post on his Truth Social platform. CNN, MS NOW, and the political newsletter Politico have been placed under a new restriction, with plans to extend the ban to additional entities, Trump stated. The ban stems from the media's persistent reporting of what Trump described as "FAKE NEWS" regarding his administration and the United States.

In his message, Trump emphasized that media outlets should not have the ability to publish false stories about the president and his government. However, just thirty minutes after his post, CNN confirmed that its staff continued working as usual at the White House. Throughout both of his presidential terms, Trump has exhibited a strained relationship with journalists and the media, particularly those critical of his administration.

Despite this, he has often welcomed reporters into the Oval Office for spontaneous press conferences. In the past, the Associated Press news agency was barred from certain Trump events when it refused to comply with his directive to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
