Portable demands DNA test before child support for Ashabi’s children

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has demanded DNA tests for his two children with actress Akinyanju Omobolarinde, also known as Ashabi Simple, before he is willing to take responsibility for their upbringing. The demand was made in an Instagram Story on Friday, with Portable stating that he needed the DNA tests to ensure he could provide for the children, as he did not trust their mother.

The singer's demand emerged amidst a dispute over the welfare and financial support of the children. Portable questioned Ashabi's alleged absence during their relationship due to film shoots and the physical resemblance between him and the children as insufficient evidence of paternity. He also alleged that Ashabi had failed to provide adequate financial support for the children and threatened to involve the police over their welfare.

Ashabi, in response, accused Portable of refusing to be accountable for the children's welfare and stated she would not be ready to engage with him for their children's sake. The dispute has been publicly shared on social media, with both parties exchanging messages and allegations about their relationship and the children's welfare.
