Dubai Parks and Resorts theme parks to reopen after six-month closure

Dubai Parks and Resorts theme parks will resume operations on October 7, following a closure that lasted more than six months. The destination, which features Motiongate Dubai, Real Madrid World, Legoland Dubai Resort, and The World of Riverland, temporarily shut down in March. Upon reopening, guests will discover new experiences at Riverland, such as a bowling attraction and Lamborghini Automobili racing simulators.

Fernando Eiroa, chief executive of Dubai Holding Entertainment, stated that the return of Dubai Parks and Resorts is a significant milestone for both the organization and its visitors, offering a diverse range of options for families, residents, and tourists alike.

Legoland Dubai, the first Legoland park in the Middle East, opened in 2016 and encompasses six themed lands, featuring 40 rides and attractions. It also includes a Legoland Water Park and a hotel. Motiongate Dubai, another Hollywood-inspired theme park, was established in 2016 and offers 29 rides and attractions based on films and characters from DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures, and Lionsgate.

Real Madrid World, the newest addition to the resorts, opened in April 2024 and replaces Bollywood Park. The football-themed destination spans three zones and boasts the region's first wooden roller coaster, a 140-meter-high attraction called Stars Flyer, and other attractions like the Bernabeu Experience and La Fabrica Training Pitch.

The World of Riverland combines dining, games, and attractions across four areas, with new activities like bowling and Lamborghini racing simulators, which will be added upon reopening.
