At least 16 killed in Pakistan car bomb near mosque

At least 16 individuals lost their lives in northwest Pakistan on Friday following a suicide attack. According to police, a car laden with explosives rammed into a police facility as people were praying at a mosque in the vicinity. The interior ministry confirmed the tragic incident on the social media platform X, though they have yet to specify the exact number of casualties.

The attack took place in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, near Kohat city. The vehicle crashed into the outer wall of the police facility, and gunmen who were present in the car began firing upon the scene, as reported by provincial police chief Zulfikar Hameed. The attack is believed to be a suicide bombing, with no claim of responsibility made at this time.
