Honor confirms list of devices getting its Liquid Glass-filled Android 17 update [Video]

Honor has unveiled MagicOS 11, its Android 17 update, boasting a design language heavily influenced by Apple's Liquid Glass. The company announced this on Weibo, accompanied by a promotional video showcasing the new aesthetic, which many would mistake for an Apple advertisement due to the striking resemblance. This unveiling took place during Honor's developer conference, where they also introduced the Luminous and Hummingbird base architectures, promising enhanced speed and fluidity to the user experience.

According to Honor, animations within MagicOS 11 are approximately 20% quicker, even with the added visual enhancements.

In addition to its visual appeal, MagicOS 11 introduces an upgraded "Yoyo" AI assistant, which now features expanded AI capabilities and can manage workflows with up to 100 steps. This AI assistant is currently available in China. Honor has confirmed a comprehensive list of devices that are eligible for the MagicOS 11 beta version, and subsequently, the official Android 17 update.

Over a dozen devices are already qualified for this update, with additional devices scheduled to join the list throughout October and November. The translated list includes a variety of devices, emphasizing Honor's commitment to rolling out the upgrade to a wide range of their product lineup.
