Global Quantum X set to chase $2,7 trillion quantum economy at GISEC 2027

Dubai has announced the launch of an upcoming 2027 event focused entirely on quantum technology, set to be the largest edition of GISEC Global yet. This collaboration between Global Quantum X (GQX) and the UAE Cyber Security Council aims to unite governments, quantum tech companies, national cybersecurity authorities, research institutions, enterprise adopters, and investors to tackle both the commercial adoption of quantum technology and the security frameworks necessary to navigate this shift.

Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, emphasized the event's potential to shape the quantum era, enabling governments and enterprises worldwide to close the gap between current defenses and future threats. Quantum technology is poised to unlock a $2.7 trillion economic value within the next decade, according to McKinsey's Quantum Technology Monitor 2026.

The event will coincide with the GISEC 2027 conference, reflecting the growing global focus on quantum security. Currently, one-third of global enterprises are investing more than $10 million annually in quantum initiatives, with the technology projected to revolutionize fields like medicine, materials, and finance. However, the same computing power that unlocks these breakthroughs also poses a risk to today's encryption methods, making quantum and cybersecurity inseparable concerns.
