Exco N Sembilan menderhaka, Aminuddin seru polis bertindak

Former Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister Aminuddin Harun has called for police to take legal action against nine exco members of the state who reportedly declared the deposition of Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz. Describing their actions as "dereliction of duty," Aminuddin stated that the proclamation issued on April 19 is the basis of a statement he was allegedly asked to sign while still serving as the Chief Minister.

He refused to sign the document, stating that the government could not accept the actions of Mubarak Dohak, which is not in line with the Sonning Law. Aminuddin urged the authorities to take appropriate legal action against each exco member involved. He also noted that the same issue relates to the proclamation not being required to be signed again by another Chief Minister in four months.

Aminuddin emphasized that there were no accusations made against Tuanku Muhriz, and he never had the opportunity to respond to any accusations, which he deemed a serious violation of fundamental principles of justice, as well as a member of the Parliament of Port Dickson. On September 9, the current state government publicly stated that the proclamation did not meet the established process and procedures, while also declaring the proclamation as invalid, contradicting the Constitution, and not being enforceable.

However, seven days later, the same exco members of the state decided that the proclamation was complete and had legal power. This change in position is difficult to understand, he said. According to the State Constitution of Negeri Sembilan (SUTNS), exco members do not have the authority to make any decisions regarding the status of Tuanku Muhriz.

On the same day, the exco of the state announced a proclamation of Tuanku Muhriz's abdication as valid and acknowledged Tuanku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar as the new Yang Di-Pertuan Besar. According to the exco's statement, the decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ismail Lasim the day after. However, the Legislative and Justice Council (DKU) had previously stated that Tuanku Muhriz remains the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar, claiming there was no valid process leading to his removal from the position.
