KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 - A tragic accident on the North-South Expressway near Nilai has claimed the life of a woman and left her sister and a motorcyclist seriously injured. According to reports from Berita Harian, the incident took place around 9am this morning. The 32-year-old driver of a Perodua Axia was travelling from Melaka towards Perak when the vehicle broke down and came to a halt in the second lane from the left.

A 22-year-old man riding a Honda RS 150 arrived at the scene to assist the woman in moving the vehicle. Shortly after, a 24-year-old man driving a lorry crashed into the rear of the stalled car, and the motorcyclist who was providing help. The Perodua Axia driver suffered severe head and body injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 39-year-old female passenger and the motorcyclist were both seriously injured and received medical treatment at the red zone of Hospital Tuanku Jaafar.
