There is policy divergence at Education Ministry – NPP Education Committee spokesperson

Dr Kwabena Tandoh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Education Committee spokesperson, has highlighted a lack of clarity and policy divergence at the government level concerning the proposed introduction of Chinese and Arabic languages in schools. In an interview on JoyNews' The Pulse, Dr Tandoh emphasized that Ghanaians require certainty and stability.

He criticized the inconsistency between the President's statements and the actions of the Ministry of Education, stating that this divergence creates uncertainty for the public. Tandoh called on the President to provide clear direction and address the contradictions. If the ministry proceeded without proper authorization, he argued, the President should take appropriate action to restore confidence in the government.

Dr Tandoh further stated that the NPP's focus is on the well-being of Ghanaian children and their right to a stable educational system, rather than seeking political advantage.
