Rubio announces new visa restrictions targeting South African officials for ‘race-based discrimination’

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has introduced a new visa restriction policy targeting South African officials accused of engaging in "race-based discrimination" and "uncompensated land seizures." This move by the Trump administration is part of its ongoing efforts to address the mistreatment of White South Africans, an issue the government has consistently denied.

In addition to these restrictions, the US has also prioritized admitting White South Africans as refugees. President Trump's decision to admit nearly all refugees admitted to the United States as White South Africans has significantly changed the refugee program, with over 7,700 Afrikaners admitted by late June of the current year.

During a recent Oval Office meeting with South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa, Trump screened a video allegedly showcasing evidence of White persecution and "genocide" in South Africa. However, Ramaphosa debunked these claims, stating that South Africa's government policy is against such persecution and is firmly against the government's stance.
