Middle East flights: British Airways, Air France and Lufthansa revise schedules

International airlines like British Airways, Air France, and Lufthansa are modifying their Middle East flight schedules amidst ongoing geopolitical instability in the region. British Airways will resume flights to Dubai on November 3, initially operating one daily service during the winter, increasing to twice-daily flights in the summer.

Abu Dhabi flights are set to resume during the winter 2027-2028 season. Flights to Tel Aviv will restart on October 25, while Riyadh flights will begin on November 3, both at one daily service. Amman services will resume on November 4 with four flights a week, and Bahrain flights will remain suspended until March 2027. Cathay Pacific has suspended flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh until November 30, offering passengers flexibility to rebook, reroute, or receive refunds.

Air France has resumed regular flights to Tel Aviv and Riyadh but has suspended flights to Dubai and Beirut until September 19 and September 24, respectively. Lufthansa Group airlines will gradually resume flights to Dubai from late October, starting with Munich to Dubai on October 25 and Frankfurt to Dubai on October 26, with up to five weekly services on these routes.

Swiss and Austrian Airlines will also resume daily flights between Zurich and Dubai from October 27 and December 12, respectively. Eurowings will restore three Germany-to-Dubai routes. Lufthansa Group is monitoring the situation closely and may still adjust individual routes due to the region's volatility. American Airlines has extended its travel alert for Tel Aviv until March 2027, offering flexible booking options.

Delta has extended the suspension of Atlanta-Tel Aviv flights until December 18, while Boston-to-Tel Aviv flights remain delayed. Virgin Atlantic has suspended flights to Dubai until October 2027, with tickets resuming sales later in the year. Air Canada has extended its suspensions of Tel Aviv and Dubai flights until mid-January 2027.

Finnair and KLM have also extended their suspensions of Dubai and Doha flights until March 27, 2027. KLM notes that the airline continuously monitors security situations and adjusts flights accordingly to ensure passenger safety.
