Mandakini recalls Ram Teri Ganga Maili’s controversial scenes: ‘I went with the flow’

The movie, a romantic drama, garnered both praise and controversy due to Mandakini's portrayal of sensuality. Two scenes in particular drew attention: a breastfeeding scene and a scene where she bathed in a transparent saree under a waterfall. Despite the backlash, Mandakini remained unfazed, stating that she did not find the scenes vulgar or uncomfortable. She clarified that no actual breastfeeding occurred, as the perception was created through camera positioning and creative editing.

Mandakini's experience on the set was described as spiritual, with everyone focusing on their individual roles with a sense of devotion. She recalled how Raj Kapoor's nurturing and gentle approach made her feel at ease and empowered her to deliver her best performance.
