Koretsky discusses support for Ukraine's energy system with speaker of Japanese House of Reps

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky held a meeting with Eisuke Mori, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament, to discuss support for Ukraine's energy system. Koretsky expressed gratitude to Japan and its people for their solidarity and comprehensive support in the face of the Russian invasion. The meeting took place in Kyiv, following which Koretsky shared his thoughts on the Telegram channel.

Koretsky emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, budgetary support for Ukraine had surpassed $20 billion. He also thanked the Japanese government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the energy equipment already supplied. Koretsky highlighted the importance of accelerating the delivery of power transformers to frontline regions, which are in need during the upcoming winter.

The prime minister urged Japanese businesses to engage more actively in Ukraine's recovery efforts, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Koretsky assured that conditions would be created for joint projects, and a partnership was sought in establishing an insurance mechanism to protect businesses operating in Ukraine amidst constant Russian attacks.
