Kalmar and ICTSI continue collaboration with hybrid straddle carrier order for new South Luzon Container Terminal

Kalmar has entered into an agreement with International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) to supply 12 hybrid straddle carriers for the South Luzon Container Terminal (SLCT) in the Philippines. The machines will be delivered by the third quarter of 2027. ICTSI, a leading container terminal operator in the Philippines, will also receive MyKalmar INSIGHT coverage for all machines.

The South Luzon Container Terminal, situated 110 kilometers south of Manila within the Bauan International Port, will have an 800-meter quay, 38 hectares of yard, and an annual capacity of 1.6 million TEU. The collaboration between Kalmar and ICTSI is significant, with Kalmar providing not only the hybrid straddle carriers but also a straddle carrier simulator for training new operators and refreshing skills for existing ones.

Daniel Ho, Vice President, GTO Key Account Management at Kalmar, highlighted the pride in delivering the first Kalmar straddle carriers to a terminal in the Philippines and thanked ICTSI for their trust in the company's hybrid technology.
