Flick sets record as Barcelona breeze past Racing with Raphinha hat-trick

Barcelona secured a dominant 7-2 victory over Racing Santander on Wednesday, marking their seventh win of the season in the process. The match at Camp Nou saw the Catalan side establish a three-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of La Liga. Raphinha was the standout performer for Barcelona, netting a hat trick, including two penalties.

João Cancelo opened the scoring with a spectacular 25-yard effort, while another long-range shot from the Portuguese was awarded as an own goal after deflecting off Asier Villalibre. Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal added two more goals to complete the rout. Maguette Gueye and Yassir Zabiri provided some consolation for Santander, but Barcelona's clinical performance spoke for itself, with the team now scoring an impressive 33 goals this season at nearly five per game.

Yamal nearly broke the deadlock early on, while Dani Olmo saw his shot deflected wide. Raphinha was fouled by Pedro Filipe within the penalty area, and he converted the resulting penalty, sending Agirrezabala the wrong way. Cancelo followed up with another powerful strike, and Barcelona's lead grew to two goals. Santander managed to score once through Gueye, but Barcelona quickly regained control, with Cancelo adding a third goal.

Santander had a second penalty awarded after Rodri took advantage of a slack pass in midfield, but Yamal's shot fell short. The break did not provide Santander with much relief, as Zabiri scored the fourth Barcelona goal just minutes into the second half. Raphinha sealed the match with his third goal after a brilliant one-on-one with Wojciech Szczesny.

Despite Santander's late surge, including a goal from Adeyemi, Barcelona held on to their impressive 7-2 win, demonstrating their dominance at the start of the season.
