Colombian Chamber of E-Commerce Coordinates Digital Discount Events to Boost Trade

The Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce has organized the "Hot Sale Colombia 2026," a five-day online discount event running from October 20 to 24. This event will feature discounts from various retailers across multiple categories, including technology, fashion, home goods, beauty products, and electronics.

Hot Sale Colombia 2026 is unique among similar events worldwide as it is held twice a year, providing Colombian consumers with two distinct windows to plan major purchases around genuinely reduced prices. The 2026 edition follows the first one held in March of the same year.

More than 80 brands, such as Falabella, Exito, and Mercado Libre, typically participate in the campaign, with discounts reaching up to 70% off on select items. Retailers will activate their promotions precisely at midnight on October 20 and keep them running until 11:59 p.m. on October 24, offering Colombian shoppers a full five days to take advantage of the deals.

The timing of this year's event is particularly strategic, as it occurs before both Black Friday and the Christmas shopping season. This positioning gives retailers and consumers a valuable opportunity to test demand, clear inventory, and get ahead on holiday shopping before prices typically climb again in November and December.

Shoppers should note that prices and specific deals can shift considerably throughout the five-day event, with certain flash promotions potentially selling out or expiring well before the campaign's official end date.
