Atiku, Keyamo, celebrities mourn Olu Jacobs

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, and several Nigerian celebrities have expressed their grief over the passing of veteran actor Olu Jacobs, who died at the age of 84. Jacobs' son, Olusoji, announced his death on Instagram, referring to the late actor as "The Lion of Lufodo."

Atiku, in a statement, described Jacobs as "an institution, a cultural icon and one of the finest ambassadors of our creative spirit," and lamented that Nigeria has lost more than just a great actor. The statement highlighted Jacobs' long-standing influence on Nigerian culture through his voice, dignity, and talent, and praised his contributions to the film industry and the younger generation of actors.

Keyamo also paid tribute to Jacobs, describing him as a consummate actor and professional, and a god of the screen and legend of the stage. Several other celebrities, including Broda Shaggi, William Uchemba, Isbae U, and Mr Macaroni, offered condolences and tributes to the late actor on social media.
