Atiku, Keyamo, celebrities mourn Olu Jacobs

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, and several Nigerian entertainers have mourned the death of veteran actor Olu Jacobs, who passed away at the age of 84. Jacobs' son, Olusoji, announced his demise on Instagram, describing the late actor as "The Lion of Lufodo." Atiku, in a statement, called Jacobs "an institution, a cultural icon and one of the finest ambassadors of our creative spirit."

He described Jacobs' contribution to Nigerian cinema, stating that he "gave life to our stories, dignity to our culture and inspiration to countless younger actors." Keyamo also praised Jacobs as a consummate actor and professional. Several other celebrities, including Broda Shaggi, William Uchemba, Isbae U, and Mr Macaroni, also paid tribute to the late actor on social media, describing him as a legend and inspiration.

Jacobs, a prominent veteran actor, had a career spanning theatre, television, and film, and was the founder of the Lufodo Group and Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts.
