APM Flags Off Bauchi Assembly Bye-election Campaign, Gov Canvasses Voters

In the Sakwa Constituency of Zaki Local Government Area, the Allied People’s Movement (APM) has commenced its grassroots mobilisation campaign for the upcoming legislative bye-elections slated for September 19, 2026. Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed inaugurated the campaign in Sakuwa town on Monday, drawing a sizable assembly of party officials, influential figures, and local residents.

At the event, Governor Mohammed expounded on the state of public welfare projects undertaken during his tenure, emphasizing the necessity of continued representation at the ground level to safeguard these advancements. He urged voters to set aside political allegiances and concentrate on the pragmatic socio-economic implications of current government policies on their everyday lives.

During the rally, the campaign's Director General, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam, rallied supporters to maintain unity and vigilance. He underscored the pivotal role of high voter turnout on the election day, motivating party members to disseminate the message of continuity directly to every ward and polling precinct within the constituency.

Hon. Yakubu Adamu, the APM Governorship candidate, also addressed the crowd, requesting the electorate's support and vowing to serve with commitment and prioritize the constituency's needs in his governance.
