Adani Electricity Offers Temporary Connections to Ganesh Pandals

Adani Electricity is set to offer temporary electricity connections to Ganesh pandals in Mumbai during the upcoming Ganesh Festival, ensuring uninterrupted power supply at a residential rate. This gesture aims to uphold the festive spirit by providing reliable electricity to pandals throughout the city. Pandals can secure their temporary connections by applying online within 48 hours of the application submission.

Speaking about the initiative, an Adani Electricity spokesperson emphasized, "By offering reliable temporary electricity connections for Ganesh Pandals, we aim to ensure the festival's spirit is celebrated with uninterrupted power. This initiative reflects our dedication to serving our customers." Last year, Adani Electricity had successfully supplied power to more than 1000 Ganesh pandals, showcasing their commitment to efficient service delivery.

To support the festival, Adani Electricity has deployed a Quick Response Team to swiftly address any issues that may arise during the event.

Safety is paramount, and Adani Electricity urges all organizers to adhere to certain guidelines. Organizers must ensure wiring is ready at the pandal site, grant access only to authorized personnel to the meter cabin, and use standard wires and switches for the connection. A single isolation point should be installed for emergencies, and wires must be securely taped with standard insulation.

The connected load should not exceed the sanctioned load, and standard-capacity wires, MCBs, and ELCB should be used based on the sanctioned load. Furthermore, the generator body and neutral, if a backup generator is used, must be properly earthed, and three-pin plugs should be employed for extension cords.

Adani Electricity also emphasizes fire safety, recommending the presence of a fire extinguisher near the meter cabin with clear operating instructions. The danger board must be securely placed near the meter cabin to alert visitors. Moreover, the meter cabin and wiring should not be supported by a metallic structure, and hazardous materials must not be stored in or near the meter cabin. Following these safety measures ensures the well-being of devotees who visit Ganesh pandals.
