Zonda Tec expansion to create 1,000 indirect jobs – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama announced that the Zonda Tec Ghana Assembly Plant expansion will generate approximately 1,000 indirect jobs across various sectors of the automotive industry. The company's workforce will nearly double due to this investment, with additional employment opportunities arising in logistics, maintenance, component supply, distribution, and other support services.

Delivering remarks at the commissioning of the plant's third phase on September 15, Mahama emphasized the significant impact of the expansion on employment generation. He highlighted that the investment will almost double direct employment at Zonda Tec while creating around 1,000 indirect jobs in associated industries.

Mahama also commended Zonda Tec for establishing an academy to train young Ghanaians in automotive skills and the Zonda Tec Foundation's scholarship program enabling young individuals to pursue training in automotive manufacturing in China. He affirmed that these initiatives would reinforce the industry's growth by equipping Ghanaians with essential technical skills to engage in the expanding automotive sector.
