The Witcher 3 'is not untouchable,' story director says of changes in the upcoming remaster: 'I still find some places that I think maybe nowadays, I would do it differently'

CD Projekt Red's vice president of narration, Marcin Blacha, has revealed that he still thinks certain aspects of The Witcher 3 could be improved upon. Despite the game's perfect 92% review score and its status as one of the greatest RPGs of all time, Blacha believes there are still places he would approach differently today. This realization, coupled with the upcoming third expansion, Songs of the Past, set to release in 2027 alongside a full remaster of the base game and first two expansions, shows that CD Projekt Red is committed to continually enhancing the Witcher 3 experience.

Blacha acknowledges that some changes may stem from his own evolving perspective and aging process, but he remains confident that the remaster will bring the game to life in a new, improved way.
