Prince Harry, Meghan switch children’s school over security concerns

Prince Harry and Meghan have transferred their children's school due to security concerns, just weeks after moving back to England, according to British media reports on Monday. The couple severed ties with the royal family in 2020 amid a family feud, and Harry subsequently embarked on a protracted legal struggle to retain UK taxpayer-funded security while residing in California.

Upon returning with their seven-year-old son, Archie, and five-year-old daughter, Lilibet, to the Cotswolds in central England, the family enrolled the children in an undisclosed private school. The proximity of the school and heavy traffic on the route have reportedly raised security concerns. The decision to change schools came after discussions with the family's security team regarding the practicalities of their current security arrangements, according to a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Although Harry and Meghan's team declined to comment on Monday, they have reportedly been relying on private security guards, with Harry requesting the government to provide police protection for his family, as per local media. The Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), responsible for the protection of public and royal figures, is set to meet and conduct a thorough review of the threats Harry and Meghan's family now faces, following their return to the UK.

King Charles III recently clarified that Harry and Meghan are no longer considered "working members of the royal family" since their relocation back to Britain from the United States.
