Prince Harry’s children moving to new school after just 2 days over security concerns

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have decided to change schools for their children, Archie and Lilibet, after only two days of attendance at their initial school. This decision was made due to security concerns regarding the transportation of the children, reported a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Monday. The couple relocated from California to Britain just last month, with Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, set to begin school in September.

While the exact location of their new residence and the school they will attend remain undisclosed, the spokesperson disclosed that the distance between their home and the original school, coupled with heavy traffic in the area, prompted the security team to express concerns. The Duke and Duchess expressed their deep appreciation to the teachers and staff at the previous school for their care and effort towards the family, emphasizing that this move in no way reflects negatively on the school or the exceptional care the children received.

The decision to alter schools came following a conversation between the family's security team and the parents. Despite stepping down from royal duties and moving to the United States in 2020, leading to strained relations with the royal family, Harry and Meghan returned recently to much surprise, including that of the monarch. They currently reside in non-working capacities, as previously agreed upon with the late Queen Elizabeth before their relocation.

Their status as private citizens was confirmed in a letter authorized by King Charles and delivered to senior British officials. Harry has also criticized the government for withdrawing automatic police protection for him and his family, replacing it with a bespoke security system. Meghan's security situation is currently under review by a government committee for the first time since the family moved away from Britain.
