Lee set for bilateral summits with leaders of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan

President Lee Jae Myung is scheduled to participate in a series of bilateral summits with the leaders of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan on Tuesday. The primary focus of these meetings will be on enhancing cooperation in the areas of energy and critical minerals, according to Lee's office. The summits will be part of the inaugural Korea-Central Asia Summit, which will also feature the heads of state from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday. Lee already held a bilateral summit with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Monday.

During his talks with Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President of Turkmenistan, Lee intends to explore avenues for practical cooperation between their nations, as well as addressing regional and global issues. Following the meetings, a ceremony will take place to sign 13 agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two governments, with the participating leaders present.

Additionally, a state luncheon will be held in honor of Berdimuhamedow, featuring Korean cuisine that caters to the Turkmen leader's personal preferences and highlights the shared culinary culture between the two countries.
