Flat-selection ballot held for Wang Fuk Court owners

On Tuesday morning, the first round of balloting took place to determine the order in which owners of Wang Fuk Court units could select their new government-subsidised homes. The initial 10 numbers drawn were 25, 28, 75, 12, 56, 99, 59, 64, 36, 4, and 47, with official results expected on the scheme website by 3pm.

Under the Special Sales Exercise, selection order is determined in batches based on the date the government received an owner's signed Letter of Acceptance. The first batch deadline was June 30, while the second batch deadline was August 31. Within each batch, applicants are ordered by a computer ballot using the last two digits of their application number.

The Hong Kong government has reserved over 4,400 units across ten housing authority and housing society developments for Wang Fuk Court owners who have sold their properties to the government. These units, ranging from around HK$1.5 million to over HK$5.3 million, can be bought as new subsidised homes or exchanged for flat-for-flat arrangements. Purchasing these units is expected to commence this month.
