She explained that while she now makes sure to demand her rightful compensation, she did not always do so in the past, acknowledging that she didn't take her due earlier.

According to Shehnaaz, respect and professional worth are inextricably linked, and one should only work after securing their proper due. She also highlighted the importance of raising her voice at the right place and time, particularly when the project itself is being made on a smaller budget. In such cases, Shehnaaz believes that compromising on fees can be justified if the script is good and the effort is being put into making the film well.

However, for projects with good production values and projects that deserve a higher fee, Shehnaaz insists on taking her rightful payment. She also discussed the role of rejection in personal growth, stating that facing rejections is an essential part of learning and self-improvement. She encourages people to view rejection positively, examine the reasons behind it, and ultimately come out of their comfort zone to better understand the world around them.
