Trump says Ukraine, Russia agree not to hit energy targets

The statement was made on Trump's Truth Social network. The president attributed the recent rise in diesel prices to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, rather than the Iran conflict.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation of this alleged deal from either country. This assertion comes at a time when oil prices have been escalating for seven months due to the Iran war, leading to increased fuel costs and inflation in the United States, just weeks before the crucial U.S. midterm elections. President Trump had previously accused Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky of targeting diesel fuel refineries in Russia due to growing shortages, urging him to stop "knocking out" those facilities.
