Sira Community Jordan marks four-year anniversary

Four years after its inception, the Sira Community in Jordan celebrated its fourth anniversary with an event centered on the importance of belonging. Founded in 2022, the community aims to foster meaningful connections among professionals by encouraging openness and genuine relationships. Over the years, Sira has successfully nurtured collaborations, job creation, and professional growth, but the anniversary focused on the intangible yet crucial aspect of belonging.

The term "rab3etna" in Jordanian Arabic represents the community's sense of belonging and the relationships that bind its members. Sira's celebration was built around five "Signals of Belonging": being seen, welcomed, challenged, supported, and remembered. These signals were illustrated through real-life experiences of community members, emphasizing that belonging is a product of small, consistent moments that accumulate over time.

Co-founders Ayah Saeed and Zara Najjar highlighted the role of community members in building belonging, stating that while Sira provides the resources and values, it is the individuals who turn those elements into a thriving community. The anniversary also acknowledged the support of Bank al Etihad, whose partnership further embodied the concept of belonging through a collective tapestry created by the community's contributions.

As Sira enters its fifth year, the community pledges to maintain the conditions that foster genuine connections, ensuring that members continue to feel part of a supportive and inclusive network.
