Rajasthan Municipal Election Result 2026 Live Updates: Counting underway across 10,167 wards

Rajasthan's municipal elections, the second phase of which concluded on Friday, are experiencing live updates as vote counting progresses across 10,167 wards in 309 urban local bodies. Jaipur's counting is being conducted ward-wise in 15 rooms, each equipped with 150 tables, and covers key areas such as Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jhotwara, Sanganer, Bagru, Malviya Nagar, Civil Lines, Kishanpole, Adarsh Nagar, Hawa Mahal, and Amer.

A total of 18,266 candidates are vying for positions in 4,852 wards during this final phase of the elections. Entry to counting centers is limited to individuals with authorized passes. Voter participation in the second phase reached 70.68%, with over 61.93 lakh voters casting their ballots. However, the process has not been without issues, including minor clashes, EVM malfunctions, and allegations of fraudulent voting.

The Congress Party has expressed concern over the death of a party worker in Pali, alleging BJP workers were responsible, and the alleged death of another individual in Sikar, allegedly at the hands of a BJP candidate's vehicle. The party has called for investigations into both incidents.
