Presidency mourns state house media aide

The death of state house media aide Peter Onwubuariri has been mourned by the Presidency. Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations at the Presidential Villa, Onwubuariri, was described by President Bola Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, as a valued member of the State House media department.

Onanuga visited the family in Abuja to offer condolences, noting that Onwubuariri was a hardworking professional who contributed significantly to the department's work. The deceased's contributions included acting as a master of ceremonies at presidential events, a role he performed with professionalism and skill. Onanuga emphasized that the loss of Onwubuariri is a significant blow to the department and the President of Nigeria, as he is a professional par excellence and a gifted writer.

Tunde Rahman, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, characterized Onwubuariri as a workaholic who consistently delivered excellent work. Former President Muhammadu Buhari's Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, expressed shock over Onwubuariri's death and prayed for his soul. The deceased's sister, Amarachi Nwanguma, and eldest child, Adaora Onwubuariri, also extended their gratitude to the presidential media team for their support during this difficult time.
