North Korea tests weapons capable of striking South Korea: ‘huge destructive power’

North Korea recently carried out a firepower attack drill, according to state media. The drill, which took place on Saturday, involved the use of long-range artillery and missiles by the Korean People's Army. South Korea had reported earlier that North Korea had launched multiple ballistic missiles from the Wonsan area towards the East Sea, also known as the Sea of Japan.

This occurred one day after South Korea concluded a series of joint maritime drills with the United States and Japan, which focused on the North. The KCNA report did not specify the exact location of the drill, but it stated that new combat systems, such as various types of attack drones, tactical cruise missiles, large-calibre thermal-pressure multiple rocket launchers, and tactical ballistic missiles were utilized during the exercise.

The weapons were claimed to have demonstrated a high level of accuracy, with the ability to hit targets with 100% success.
