Nafisa Ali says stage 4 ovarian cancer has progressed to liver surface; on targeted therapy

Nafisa Ali, the 69-year-old actress, has updated her followers on her ovarian cancer treatment progress. On Sunday, she posted a photo from her hospital bed on Instagram, revealing that her cancer had progressed further, with deposits appearing on her liver's surface. The actress mentioned that her treatment protocol had changed and she was now undergoing targeted therapy.

She expressed her gratitude for the continued support from her fans, writing, "fighting the good fight. Thank you for always keeping my support energy strong." The PET/CT scan indicated that the ovarian/peritoneal cancer had progressed, with new deposits on the liver's surface. Nafisa, who was first diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal and ovarian cancer in 2018, has been undergoing treatment in Goa since then.

Despite the challenges, she has continued to take on acting roles, most recently appearing in the films Uunchai and Max, Min & Meowzaki.
