Mahama to cut sod for US$1.3bn Sentuo Airport Garden City on Tuesday

President John Dramani Mahama is set to break ground on the US$1.3 billion Sentuo Airport Garden City project in Accra on Tuesday, September 15. The event, slated for 2:00pm at 10 Giffard Road, will signal the formal commencement of the major mixed-use development spearheaded by the Sentuo Group. Under the leadership of Executive Chairman Xu Ningquan, the project will encompass a variety of amenities including residential apartments, a hotel, a conference facility capable of accommodating 2,500 people, healthcare services, a shopping mall, and landscaped gardens.

The Sentuo Group anticipates that the residential segment of the project will cater to Ghanaian professionals, members of the diaspora, and expatriate residents. However, the broader development aims to offer a comprehensive blend of housing, retail, hospitality, and leisure spaces. Beyond its economic contributions, the project is also expected to create jobs during the construction phase and post-completion, with potential needs spanning sectors like engineering, artisanry, technology, and local building materials.

Additionally, the operational phase may generate employment opportunities in hospitality, catering, transportation, and property management, though no specific completion timeline has been disclosed.
