Join Pak Army Through PMA Long Course 159

The Pakistan Army has opened registration for the PMA Long Course 159, a course for candidates seeking to join as commissioned officers. Applications are open from September 14 to October 23, 2026. Candidates can register through the Pakistan Army’s official website or at their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre. The course requires candidates to meet certain education and age requirements based on their qualification and service category.

The age limits vary, with candidates having Intermediate or equivalent qualifications needing to be aged 17-22 years, while four-year graduates must be aged 17-24 years. Servicemen of the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, and Army also have separate eligibility categories. Preliminary tests are scheduled to begin on October 5, 2026, and continue until December 15, 2026.

The training period for the course is 2 years. Age is calculated as of May 1, 2027. The minimum marks required depend on the candidate's qualification, with intermediate candidates needing at least 60% marks and four-year graduates needing at least 50% marks. Candidates from specified areas can apply with 55% marks, provided they hold relevant domicile and studied in the same area.

A-Level candidates require an IBCC equivalence certificate showing at least 60% aggregate marks. Applicants must be unmarried males of Pakistani nationality. They must be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall (162.5 cm) and meet the weight requirements based on Body Mass Index (BMI). To apply, candidates must register through the Pakistan Army recruitment website during the announced registration period.

After successful registration, applicants should obtain their examination slip from the website, which normally takes five to seven working days. Candidates must report to the Army Selection and Recruitment Centre on the assigned date and time with the required documents and a working knowledge of computers.
