France takes second shot at under-15 social media ban after court blocks first attempt

Paris, September 14 — In the wake of its previous social media ban for under-15s being ruled invalid by France's top constitutional authority, President Emmanuel Macron announced today that the government has submitted a revised proposal to the European Commission. The Constitutional Council blocked the previous legislation in mid-August, stating that it unnecessarily infringed upon the freedom of expression of those affected.
