Eastern Province completes development of Alkhobar South Corniche

The Eastern Province Municipality has finalized the enhancement of Alkhobar South Corniche, boosting public spaces and quality of life in alignment with national agendas. The project, encompassing more than 4,150 meters and encompassing over 130,000 square meters, marks the completion of all development stages. As part of the broader strategy to improve public services, the initiative is one of several undertaken by the municipality to elevate service standards and amenities, along with enhancing urban and tourism landscapes.

Faisal Al-Zahrani, a spokesperson for the municipality, detailed the improvements, which include the enhancement of the waterfront, the expansion of green spaces to over 90,000 square meters while safeguarding existing trees, and the introduction of new amenities. These additions feature tiered seating with direct ocean views, parking areas, interactive plazas, children's play zones, seating areas, a new fence, and a promenade alongside the waterfront. This comprehensive setup provides an enriched environment for recreational and sports pursuits.

Al-Zahrani highlighted that the development of the Alkhobar South Corniche aligns with the municipality's continuous efforts to bolster the city's tourism and entertainment sectors, and to support the Quality of Life Program. The project not only expands opportunities for outdoor activities and promotes healthier lifestyles but also bolsters Alkhobar's standing as a tourism hotspot, offering a harmonious blend of green spaces, recreational facilities, seating areas, and picturesque sea vistas.
