Dak Prescott 1-yard TD to CeeDee Lamb ties Cowboys, Giants at 7-7

In the second quarter, with 5:44 remaining, Dak Prescott threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb, tying the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants at 7-7. Dallas had benefited from a few penalties from New York, which helped them get into scoring position. On a third-and-11 from the Cowboys' 24-yard line, Greg Newsome was penalized for pass interference on a downfield throw to George Pickens, moving the ball to the New York 38-yard line.

Furthermore, on third-and-4 from the New York 21-yard line, Dru Phillips was called for defensive pass interference, which put the ball on the 2-yard line for Dallas. Prescott subsequently connected with Lamb in the end zone, making it a 7-7 game. While it appeared that Lamb might have pushed off during the catch, no flag was thrown.

Earlier, just before Dallas began their drive, the Giants committed a false start on a fourth down, but replays did not reveal an offensive lineman moving. NBC's Terry McAuley confirmed after reviewing multiple angles that no player had committed a false start. Despite this apparent officiating mistake, New York was likely to punt the ball, as they were on their own side of the field.
