Russia accuses Ukraine of Zaporizhzhia fuel attack as Odesa strikes continue

Russia unleashed more than 450 drones in simultaneous assaults across Ukraine overnight, with Ukraine's military claiming to have neutralized 409 of them, while 13 targeted sites sustained damage, according to Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the Lviv region, near Poland, a residential building and several structures near a school and railway station were damaged by Russian drones.

In Izyum, a 26-year-old woman perished due to an explosive device detonation, and three individuals, including a 73-year-old woman, sustained injuries in Kharkiv and 15 surrounding settlements, reported Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehub.

On Saturday, at least five people were injured in Volyn, western Ukraine, after Russian forces launched a prolonged attack lasting over four hours, with more than 10 drones circling the region. A train in Lutsk, evacuated, was struck by debris, igniting a fire but causing no casualties, according to Governor Roman Romaniuk.

Meanwhile, Ukraine struck oil facilities in Russia's Tatarstan, killing two and injuring 12, as reported by Russian authorities. The Euronews has been unable to independently confirm these numbers. The Ukrainian Defense Intelligence also targeted the Slavyansk-ECO oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, damaging a key oil-processing unit and the refinery's tank farm.

Both nations persist in striking each other's energy infrastructure ahead of winter. Russia has been targeting Ukraine's electricity and energy sectors, while Ukraine has mainly focused on Russia's oil and gas infrastructure. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed willingness to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Miami, calling the idea "impossible" and stating that "results matter."

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia would not halt its operations in Ukraine during potential peace talks.
