PureHealth takes over UK lab network serving 50-plus hospitals and 90 healthcare clients

Dubai-based PureHealth has acquired selected laboratory operations from Unilabs Limited, thereby granting its Circle Health Group hospital network direct access to an integrated diagnostics platform throughout Britain. The deal involves two dedicated hub laboratories in Euston and Cavendish Square, London, alongside a network of licensed labs spanning the UK.

This network offers pathology, histopathology, blood sciences, microbiology, and specialist diagnostic services, already catering to over 90 external healthcare clients.

Circle Health Group currently operates more than 50 hospitals across the UK, providing a robust clinical foundation for the newly acquired laboratory network. Additional eligible volumes from Circle Health Group's existing patient base are anticipated to transition to the new diagnostic services over time.

PureHealth highlights that integrating laboratory services with Circle Health Group's hospitals will enhance the group's oversight of quality, capacity, and turnaround times, while fostering closer collaboration between laboratory specialists and clinicians throughout the patient journey. The merger is projected to increase patient volume and contribute to overseas growth, thereby boosting PureHealth's profit by 20%.

This UK expansion builds upon PureLab, PureHealth's laboratory business in the UAE, which manages over 150 laboratories and processes more than 25 million tests annually. The advanced automation, AI-enabled diagnostics, and internationally accredited laboratory systems used by PureLab will bolster the UK platform's clinical, operational, and technological capabilities.

Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, emphasized that the laboratory expansion bolsters the company's international healthcare platform and aligns with its strategy to diversify revenue streams and expand its overseas business. The UK diagnostics platform will support Circle Health Group's hospitals while maintaining services for the group's established external client base throughout the country.
