Police seek man, girl after viral video shows alleged kick

Police in Kota Bharu are searching for a man and a girl featured in a viral video showing the man allegedly kicking the child at a Thai restaurant in Telipot. Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azmir Damiri of the Kota Bharu district police stated that the report about the video was received around 10.24pm yesterday via the social media platform Threads.

According to the police, the footage appears to have been recorded at a Thai restaurant in Telipot and uploaded by the premises owner on his Facebook account. The investigation into the incident has been initiated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001. Police are currently working to identify and locate the man and girl shown in the video.

The public is urged to contact Inspector Nur Faraheen Azman Lim, the investigating officer, for any information related to the case.
