‘Our son has helped in all sectors’ – Battor Traditional Council hails Ablakwa’s development effort

The Battor Traditional Council has lauded Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for his extensive contributions to the development of the region. The council's President, Torbega Patamia Dzekley VII, commended Mr Ablakwa for his dedication to his constituents' welfare, with particular emphasis on education.

At an event where he supported over 2,000 new Senior High School students, the Paramount Chief highlighted the MP's unmatched efforts in education. He noted that Ablakwa has instituted numerous scholarship programs, aiding hundreds of students from basic to graduate levels. The traditional leader emphasized that Ablakwa's selflessness in fulfilling his duties has been invaluable.

Apart from education, the council praised Ablakwa for raising the profile of North Tongu through his national and international achievements, helping in various sectors including social interventions, housing for Dam spillage victims, health, and more. The MP's support for education extends to infrastructure development, with classroom block constructions across the district.

The council urged young people to view Mr Ablakwa as a role model and to draw inspiration from his accomplishments. Since 2026, Ablakwa's annual scholarship program has benefited over 8,000 students, with more than 500 currently receiving support. Additionally, he has presented a vehicle to the North Tongu Educational Directorate and donated laptops to tertiary students and staff.
