Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, has commenced the investiture ceremony for Palaces Defence Force cadets at Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Arau, on the previous day. This reflects the increasing complexity of the defense landscape and the threats faced by the nation, which no longer are limited to conventional warfare.

The royal prince highlighted the need for cadets to acquire relevant knowledge, citing the emergence of cyber warfare, hybrid warfare, drone usage, artificial intelligence, and the volatile global political climate as factors shaping the country's security landscape.

He urged the cadets to act as a tech-savvy, informed, security-conscious generation that remains vigilant about geopolitical developments. The royal prince also emphasized the importance of maintaining national spirit, urging the cadets to adhere to principles of loyalty, bravery, and honesty in all actions. He emphasized that defending the nation is not merely a duty, but a commitment and responsibility towards one's homeland.

The investiture ceremony saw the investiture of 1,885 Palaces Defence Force cadets from 20 public universities, marking the 44th batch. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, along with Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil and Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail, stressed the importance of education and awareness, stating that every piece of information should be carefully evaluated to avoid being swayed by propaganda, false news, or narratives that could undermine the harmony and security of the nation.
