Gauteng police probe deaths of four women in Kempton Park

Acting Gauteng Police Commissioner, Major-General Fred Kekana, reports that police are examining the deaths of four women found in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg, over the past two months. Kekana states that the deaths are not being ruled out as related or the work of a single perpetrator at this stage. The identity of a woman whose body was discovered behind a hotel in Rhodesfield is still unconfirmed, and her family has yet to verify if it is that of the missing 38-year-old Elizabeth Mokolo Moselakgomo.

Kekana has cautioned the public about the risks of meeting individuals through online dating platforms, as approximately ten cases have been reported at Kempton Park Police Station, involving people who met online and were allegedly robbed or sexually assaulted. The fourth body found on September 12 is believed to be that of a 38-year-old woman who was attacked while jogging, pending formal identification by her family.
