The seven-day lottery commenced on September 10, with its inaugural draw titled Raja Wasi set for October 1. The DLB highlighted that the launch of Wasi represents a significant technological advancement in its 43-year history, aimed at appealing to younger consumers who are more engaged with digital platforms.
Consumers can purchase a Wasi ticket via the DLB Sweep App or as a printed ticket, priced at Rs. 40. The lottery draw is executed using a fully automated computer system that selects two numbers, a Super Number, and an English letter in each draw. Participants who match all three winning elements stand a chance to win the Rs. one million Super Jackpot. Alternatively, matching the two numbers and the English letter entitles the winner to either Rs. 500,000 or a brand-new electric motorcycle, depending on their preference.
