BRICS Delhi traffic advisory: Check details

The Delhi Traffic Police has released a comprehensive traffic advisory for the final day of the BRICS summit at Bharat Mandapam, detailing diversions and regulated traffic flow on over 35 roads in central and south Delhi. Roads such as Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, and Tees January Marg will experience significant disruptions.

Mathura Road, in particular, will have restricted access for commercial vehicles heading towards W-Point, with alternate routes redirected to IP Marg, DDU Marg, or BSZ Marg. Bharat Mandapam itself will have specific diversion points at Lodhi Road intersections and the Oberoi Hotel and Golf Link permit points.

Traffic restrictions are also in place around key locations like Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, and the RML Hospital area, with vehicles redirected through alternative roads. Commercial vehicles, apart from the specified exceptions, will not be permitted to enter Delhi, and roadside parking within 200 meters of controlled roads has been prohibited.

Public transportation, including metros, buses, and taxis, will remain operational, with a strong recommendation to use public transport for airport travel. Emergency and essential services will receive priority and obstruction-free passage across the city. Commuters are advised to allow extra travel time, follow designated diversion routes, and stay updated through official Delhi Traffic Police channels to ensure a smooth and safe journey during the summit.
