Anwar kenang budi, tak sampai hati singkir Umno, kata Hassan

PKR leader Hassan Karim has stated that the opposition party, Umno, does not need to wait to be removed from the government to challenge Anwar Ibrahim's administration. According to Karim, Umno has three options to challenge the current government led by Anwar Ibrahim. These options include withdrawing support for Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) members, ministers resigning from their positions, or candidates withdrawing their nomination if they do not believe in Anwar during the upcoming parliamentary session.

The Pasir Gudang MP questioned Prime Minister of Umno, Zahid Hamidi's challenge for those criticizing him to remove Umno from the national unity government. Zahid also challenged Umno to announce a no-confidence motion against Anwar. Karim said it is not appropriate to make such threats, especially at the Malaysian Parliament, as reported by Berita Harian.

He emphasized that Anwar, who is also the chairman of Pakatan Harapan (PH), is a man of honor and will not remove the Umno minister or disband the party. Furthermore, Umno needs to realize that the national unity government is not a formal union but a loose one, and it can withdraw at any time. According to Karim, Zahid should take a cue from Pasir Gudang MP Rafizi Ramli, who resigned as a minister after losing the PKR election.

Earlier tonight, Zahid, who is also the deputy prime minister, reiterated Umno's commitment to remain in the government until the end of the election term.
