The Lahore Traffic Police has launched five dedicated scooty training schools across the city to provide driving skills and confidence to students and women. These schools are located at Abshar Driving School, Liberty Khidmat Markaz, Greater Iqbal Park, Traffic Police Lines Manawan, and LOS Ferozepur Road. The latter facility offers free scooty riding training exclusively for women, with the aim of creating a comfortable learning environment for female trainees through the Women-to-Women service. Besides these scooty schools, the department operates 12 car-driving training centers in Lahore.
CTO Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi emphasized the department's commitment to empowering women through professional driving training and licensing facilities. Since its inception, the Lahore Traffic Police's schools have helped thousands of women gain driving skills. To assist young applicants seeking scooty and motorcycle licenses, the department has established Gen-Z Scooty Counters at the licensing centers.
Applicants need to present their CNIC, Form-B, and be accompanied by a parent or guardian to complete the process at these counters.
Thus far, the Lahore Traffic Police has issued over 172,000 motorcycle licenses and 6,546 permits for juveniles.
